A boat trip on one of our iconic wooden rowing boats has become an essential part of every summer excursion to the Lake in Braies. After all, there are only a few places in the world where you can row across calm, crystal-clear water surrounded by this kind of mountain landscape.
You will experience the lake in a historic way on our handmade rowing boats, as this type of boat has been on the waters for over a century.

June: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
July / August: 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
September: 9:00a.m. - 6:00p.m.

PRIVATE PHOTO SHOOTING?
You can book the boathouse online exclusively for yourself in the morning.
There are 2 different offers
For 200€ you share the unique shooting location with another shooting group for 1h30min before the rental opens. Both groups will receive two of our handmade wooden boats during this time.
For 400€ you have the unique shooting location and two of our wooden boats all to yourself for 1h30 before the opening of the rental.
You have to bring the photographer yourself.
CAN I FLY WITH A DRONE AT THE LAKE?
The entire lake is part of the Fanes-Sennes Braies National Park and areas around the lake are private property. For this reason it is forbidden to fly with a drone!
Please respect this restriction, especially for the sake of the wildlife!
Please note that violating this rule can result in high fines!
CAN I BRING MY OWN BOAT?
As the Braies Lake is part of the Fanes-Sennes-Braies National Park, neither your own boats nor stand-up paddleboards are allowed.

ATTENTION! The ticket for the "Shared Boat Ride Experience" and the "Private Boat Ride Experience" can only be bought on site!
HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO QUEUE FOR A BOAT RIDE ON PRAGSER WILDSEE?
You may have to wait up to 2h during high season.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN RIDE IN A ROWBOAT?
Max. 5 adults can be accommodated in one boat.
CAN I TAKE BABIES ON THE BOAT?
Children of all ages are welcome on the boat tour on the Lago di Braies. Children or young people under 16 must be accompanied by an adult during the boat trip.

Children up to 4 years of age ride the boat for free
Children from 4-12 years receive a 50% discount
Each child counts as one person in the boat (i.e. max. 5 persons incl. children)
CAN MY DOG COME ON THE BOAT?
If you want to take your dog with you, you can book the "Private Boat Ride Experience", where you have a boat to yourself. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on the other offers!
CAN I BUY FOOD AND DRINKS ON THE BOATHOUSE? IS THERE A TOILET?
Unfortunately, you cannot buy food and drinks on the boathouse itself and there is no toilet either. Around the lake there are several establishments where you can get food and drinks and several toilets.
CAN I RENT A KAYAK OR STAND-UP PADDLEBOARD AT THE LAGO DI BRAIES?
No, unfortunately you cannot rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard at the lake.
The boathouse at Lago di Braies only rents out wooden rowing boats.
WHERE CAN I PARK IF I TRAVEL BY CAR?
If you travel by car, you can park directly at the lake. There are three car parks that are open around the clock. However, please be aware of the closing of the road! From 10.07.23 to 10.09.23 the road from Ferrara to the lake will be closed from 09.00 to 16.00.
